Jim Perks - Calgary Real Estate Agent

2I started helping buyers and sellers as a RE/MAX agent in 2010. I chose to be a RE/MAX agent because it was obvious to me that RE/MAX was a company built to help agents serve clients and professionalism is a way of life in the company. RE/MAX has not disappointed me.

​I taught jr. high school for twenty years in three different schools in NW Calgary,  Thomas B Riley Junior High, Simon Fraser Junior High and Montgomery Junior High. The communities I taught in are some of the communities where I connect with buyers and sellers today.  Needless to say, I run into former students once in a while and am privileged to serve them by helping them buy and or sell real estate.

​I left teaching to pursue business interests and those opportunities gave me a great working knowledge of the Internet. From marketing to design, I learned by doing when the Internet was a frontier. I bring these skills and an  entrepreneurial spirit to  my real estate business.

After leaving my Internet business I got involved in real estate development.  I headed up a group of investors who built infills focused on close in neighbourhoods in Calgary. I followed that with a few years working for an exempt market dealer and developer, GenCap Equity Inc. where I was the Director of Business Development Canada.  I was involved in both capital investment and on the design side of a 200 unit multi family project in Airdrie, AB.

​I like to think of my real estate business as an open door and I always have time for new clients. I have helped over 120 families to date, some as repeat buyers and sellers.  I am looking forward to helping you.  I love what I do and hope that my enthusiasm rubs off on the lives I touch.
